K. Boyd brings Rangers CIS Cup

Filed under: European soccer by: Football Highlights

K. Boyd was the hero of the game Dundee United-Glasgow Rangers played today in the CIS Cup final.

Rangers came back twice from 1-0 and 2-1 thanks to an outstanding performance signed by Boyd. The funny fact is that Boyd is a regular SUBSTITUTE in the average Rangers match. He also scored the winning penalty for a 3-2 win at the penalty kicks for the Glasgow team.boyd-mah.JPG

The win is even more surprising if you consider that Rangers had a rough match at Bremen just Thursday.Did that game bring a burning desire of being in the first 11 for Boyd? :)

Schalke gets a narrow win with Duisburg

Filed under: European soccer by: Football Highlights

After first half dominated by the away side, in which Duisburg even scored through Georgiev in the 20th minute, Schalke woke up in the second half and scored two precious goals thanks to Kuranyi0102095631700.jpg in the 60th minute and Westermann in the 74th minute.

Schalke isn’t looking very competitve lately and they will be a sure victim in Barcelona’s road to their third Uefa Champions League trophy if they don’t change something fast. :)
