The first match in the Uefa Champions League 3rd preliminary stage took place last night in Firenze, where local team Fiorentina defeated Slavia Prague 2-0. Mutu was again the man of the match, the Romanian player getting a goal in the 3rd minute after a great free kick. Gilardino made it 2-0 and it looks like Fiorentina is one step closer to the group stage. Tonight the remaining matches will be played and the second legs will be on the 26th and 27th august.
