A very tough match for Denmark at home of Hungary. I confess I don’t know any key players from either of the team (I know Thomas Gravesen from Denmark, but he is not a key player :) ).

Barack Obama to coach West Ham United?

Filed under: World Soccer by: Live Soccer

Following the resignation of Alan Curbishley from West Ham, betting agencies started to profit from people who want to guess the future manager.

An English businessman has bet 10 pounds that the next coach of West Ham will be the current Illinois senator (and future USA president), Barack Obama.

The betting agency gives the businessdouchebag a rate of 10000 to 1. So, if the man wins the bet then Wiliam Hill will have to pay 100.000 pounds. The businessman is pretty confident of his winning chances.

The favourites to take over West Ham are Paolo di Canio, current Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp and Croatia’s national team coach Slaven Bilic.

Everyone hits Robinho

After moving away from Santiago Bernabeu, more and more people declare Robinho has mental problems taking him down even further.

Pele makes a retarded statement about his fellow Brazilian: “Chelsea are lucky. This boy needs some serious counselling. In my view he has been badly advised,” Football 365 quote him to say.

Roman Calderon is quoted by France 24 as saying: “Robinho has a morale problem more extensive than we first thought… When he talked about his situation, he cried and demanded to leave Spain.”

Jose Fernandos, Santos manager said: “We are ashamed at having produced such a player.”

Santos President, Marcelo Teixeira added: “This is one of the most disgraceful episodes in Brazilian football… He is a player who is an idol to children… But he has not acted like one.”

Podolski: “This is too much!!!”

The German’s gem, Lukas Podolski confessed to Bild this week: “I Shouldn’t Have Signed For Bayern!”
His relation with the club now has reached a new low, hard to believe that was possible and Podolski is somehow desperate for a move.

“I wouldn’t have had I known that things were going to turn out like this,” was Podolski’s frank response when asked whether he still would have signed for Bayern had he been able to foresee what was in store for him in Munich.

“I’m not complaining though. I’m just not happy with the situation,” he insisted.

He added: “I would be a bad footballer if I contented myself by sitting on the bench.

“I could tolerate it if it was a case of two or three weeks, but there comes a point when one has to draw the line and say: ‘This is too much! I’m not making any progress here.’ That’s just human nature.”

Robinho Not Worth €40m

Peter Kenyon said Robinho is not worth the money and that Chelsea was never going to sign him at this price.

During the transfer season, there were talks between Chelsea and Real Madrid for Robinho, but a last minute Manchester City bid got them the 24 years old Worldclass forward.

Chelsea only allegedly went as high as €37 million, an offer which was blatantly shot down by the Madrid hierarchy. Manchester City, backed by their new Abu Dhabi-based investors/owners, eventually swooped in out of nowhere for the 24 year old by offering €40 million upfront plus another €2 million based on the player’s performances.

Keita: Juve And Madrid Wanted Me Too

Filed under: World Soccer by: Live Soccer

The Malian player who joined Barcelona this summer confessed other clubs like Juventus and Real Madrid wanted to sign him too. He decided to go for Barca because of their long interest in him.

“As well as the Catalans though, Juve and Real madrid also wanted me. But I had alreayd made my mind up to join Barça and did not want to change it”

“I have not come here to say how pleased I am to have joined a club like this, I have come here to contribute, to be happy and to play. When you are part of a club like this you have to win, win win,” he explained.

“I am not here to be a tourist, I have come to play. I want to win the title and the Champions League.

“Here there are so many players with such great quality that the coach cannot assure anyone that they will be a regular.

“Pressure does not worry me because I will simply give everything that I have and then we will see what happens during the season.”

Keita is due to start Ramadan being a Muslim, but so devoted is he to Barça that if they asked him not to for health reasons then he would listen to them.

“Ramadan? I would like to do it, but if the club does not let me then I will not,” he said.

So, Keita is really keen on Barca but does he have the skill?
