Mutu - Roma’s strikers are useless

We shouldn’t listen to what drug addicts and retards have to say, but this is a special case cause it’s Adriaaaaaaaaaaann Mutu. After he couldn’t join Roma last summer, now he yells at the side they don’t have any firepower except Francesco Totti.

“The strongest attacking departments? Milan, Inter and Fiorentina have the best and strongest,” Mutu told Il Corriere Dello Sport.
“Roma? I don’t think so, no. They have nothing up front apart from Totti.”

“We hope to have Totti always because he has something more than the others. The team needs to learn to play without him,” said Spalletti.

Milan Legend - “To hell with Sheva”

Brazilian legend Jose Altafini, who had an 18-year career in Italy spanning three decades in the 50s, 60s and 70s, has had his say on the summer transfer activity.

He thinks that “Milan bought too much”. “Dinho gives strength to those around him, Quaresma is an element that was missing at Inter, while Riise is very important for Roma.”
He is not so keen on the others move made by Milan though “Poulsen is an average player, while Sheva can go to hell, Milan doesn’t need him,” he concluded.

Altafini is regarded by some as the greatest Brazilian to have ever played in Serie A. He scored 168 goals in 248 matches for Milan between 1958 and 1965, while he later starred for Napoli and Juventus.

Inter managed to get only a draw from the game against Siena in Milano 2-2, missing a penalty thanks to Materazzi. The miss didn’t have repercussions only on the pitch, and in a Pisa home, an Inter fan threw his 28 inch TV out the window ! The poor guy got a fine for throwing dangerous objects and Inter have to win the last game of the Seria A to be sure they win it, AS Roma being only 1 point behind now. Materazzi obtained the penalty, but in a desperate wish to become a hero, he missed it like a beginner and became the most cursed player form the team ;) . I wonder what that fan will do if Inter doesn’t win this title This is the penalty :

Inter Milano won the game against Lazio Roma on Stadio Olimpico 2-0, in the second leg of the Italian Cup semi-final. In the first leg the score was 0-0. Inter now waits to see who they will meet in the final , AS Roma or Catania. Materazzi got a red card in the 83rd minute and will miss the final. This guy is a menace I tell you ! When he loses his temper, he won’t be shy to attack you suddenly. I bet he’s got more red cards than he scored goals in his career . Lazio is at the end of a horrible season, with 4th place in the Champions League group, 13th place in Seria A, and now with no chance of playing in an European cup next year after this defeat in the Italian cup. I sure am glad I ain’t a Lazio fan right now .

Mourinho negotiates with Inter

Like “The Sun” revealed, Jose Mourinho is in Milano since last night and he is negotiating with Massimo Moratti.It is said that the Portugese coach will take over Inter from this summer.Eladio Parames,his spokesman, also admited this posibility.According to “Gazzeta dello Sport”, the ex-manager of Chelsea demanded a 9 million euro annual salary, plus money for the staff. “Mourinho came together with his agent, mister Mendes, and they discussed all afternoon, and the discussions are are in an advanced state” added Parames.Mourinho is a free agent since september 2007, when he leaved Chelsea, being replaced with Avram Grant.

Juventus wins the derby against Inter

Juventus put the battle for the title back on line in Serie A, after they won at Inter 2-1 ( Maniche ‘83 / Camoranesi ‘49 , Trezeguet ‘63). The leaders of the Italian championship rarely got to Buffon’s goal , the final statistic for “shots on” being 8-3 for Juve , confirming the away team’s superiority.Inter had two good chances ended with a hit of the bar both of them , so they had to admit defeat against  a Juventus that promises to fight for the title next year.Now AS Rome is only 4 points behind from Inter after they won their game against Empoli 2-1.

Mancini leaves Inter this summer

The second defeat against Liverpool , 0-1 after 0-2 in the first leg,equivalent with the elimination from the UCL,helped Roberto Mancini take a decision : “The next 2 and a half months will be the last at Inter.In summer I will leave the team.I comunicated this to the players and president Massimo Moratti,and now it’s obvious that everyone should know“, declared the Italian coach at the end of the game against Liverpool.He added that the decision isn’t quite because of the loss from last night,but that it’s a decision he took longer ago.

Liverpool in the quarterfinals

Liverpool eliminated Inter Milano and is through the next phase of the Uefa Champions League.After a first half that ended with the score 0-0,Liverpool scored thanks to Torres in the 64th minute.Inter lost any hope actually from the 50th minute when Burdisso saw his second yellow card and was sent off.Final score on aggregate: LIVERPOOL 3 - 0 Inter

Mancini : “We will beat Liverpool by 3 goals”

Roberto Mancini,the Inter Milano coach,decladred before the second leg of the UCL last 16 against Liverpool,that his team is capable of repairing the 2 goal deficit and go through the next phase.

“We need 3 goals to qualify and this team can do this.Liverpool didn’t play outstanding in the first leg,but they kept us under pressure and,unfortunately,the last 5 minutes have proven to be decisive.” said Mancini for uefa.com

The english side won in the first leg 2-0,thanks to the goals of Kuyt 85′ and Gerard 90′.The match Inter-Liverpool will take place Thursday in Milano.

Inter very close to winning Seria A

The Italian derby finished with a draw 1-1.

Inter is 9 points clear from second place AS Roma,after the two made a draw in the big derby. The home side had a rough start but in the end they were the ones celebrating the precious result.Roberto Mancini had a series of injured key players on the bench like Ibrahimovic , Cruz , Materazzi and Cordoba.AS Roma had control on the match in the first part and obviously scored in the 38th minute thanks to captain Totti.In the 88th minute,veteran Zanetti scored a goal from outside the box and took Inter closer to winning the Italian Seria A.
