Switzerland-Turkey Preview

Filed under: Euro 2008 by: Football Highlights

Will it be a soccer game or a K1 match tonight. You really can’t say clear, knowing what happened in the last confrontation between the two :D We all remember those moments from the end of the game in Istanbul when Turkey won 4-2 but lost on aggregate. It wasn’t soccer anymore, it was a total chaos. We all hope this won’t happen again, but with a Switzerland team that just lost their leader Frey, and a Turkish side ready to win on Swiss land just to still have a chance for the quarterfinals, you may never know :D This is a video from tht game:

El Clasico can save a disastrous season for Barcelona

Filed under: European soccer by: Football Highlights

Real Madrid - Barcelona , probably the best known derby on the planet, will have a lesser importance in the championship race this time. Real are already champions, winning their 31st title sunday, while Barcelona is struggling to reach the 2nd position, where Villarreal is now. It was an awful season for Barca, the catalans most certanly saying goodbye to their coach at the end of it, Guardiola taking charge from this summer. If Barcelona wins this one, it would be one for the fans, cause like myself, we are highly dissapointed with this disastrous season. The match will start at 21:00 local time, on Santiago Bernabeu.

All or nothing for Barcelona tonight

Mancester United and Barcelona play the second leg of the semi-finals in the Uefa Champions League tonight. It’s the last hope for Barca to save something from this season, in which they have lost the title and the Copa del Rey. Man Utd on the other hand is having better luck in the Premier League, the devils being in first place, with as much points as Chelsea. The first leg ended in a draw 0-0 on Camp Nou, but Barcelona have hteir chances, knowing that Vidic, the United defender might not play tonight :) . It’s going to be a game you wouldn’t want to miss ;)

Last hope for Barcelona tonight

Tonight on Camp Nou will take place the second semi-final of the Uefa Champions League , where Barcelona meets Manchester. It’s the last chance for Barca to save something from this season, after they are curently in 3rd place, after Real and Villarreal in Primera. Manchester is having a great season, the devils being the leaders in Premier League and their star Cristiano Ronaldo is most likely to win FIFA Player of the Year award :D .

It will be a close game but as much as a Barcelone fan that I am, I must be honest and say that Man Utd has the better chances of going through :) .
