Villarreal encounter Deportivo La Coruna in a very interesting match. With only a draw against Osasuna in last match, Villareal need to win to keep the pace with the top teams.

Last year Villareal did a double in the matches with Deportivo La Coruna as they won 4-3 and 2-0.
Deportivo is however in top form, they beaten Real Madrid 2-1 in their first La Liga match and are aiming for a top spot this season. Capdevilla who joined Villareal from Depor last summer warns that it will be a much more difficult match than the one’s from last season.

“They have benefited from a change in system and they have high hopes. They will come here looking to pick up a positive result and we hope to make the most of home advantage to beat them.”

He added: “To play against Depor is very special for me because I have a lot of love for this club after seven years there. It was the club who helped make me and I hope that after this game they will go on to do very well.”

Nihat Kahveci, Angel Lopez, Giuseppe Rossi, Diego Godin and Robert Pires could be out for Villareal because of various reasons.
